The joy of the mountains enhanced by the sound and presence water......streams, lakes, pools and rivers. An invigorating dip in the pool of a mountain stream is always welcome after a long hot walk. The family can have an exhilarating time white water rafting together over at St Christophe in the stunningly beautiful Veneon valley and the smaller children will undoubtedly enjoy the swimming pool at the local leisure centre in Vaujany. If you're passion is fishing then bring your rod and discover some fine fishing in the pools and runs.

Rafting - About 30 minutes away between Venosc and St Christophe (both worth a visit) is the rafting and canoeing centre 'Veneon eaux vives' offering some thrilling outings on the river accompanied by experienced instructors. Tel: 04 76 80 23 99.

Water Sports – You can even enrol the children on a sailing course down at the Verney reservoir by Allemont and there are also pedal boats and windsurfing available.

Swimming – ‘L’Espace Loisirs’ sports and leisure complex, a fantastic relaxation centre. The main pool is 25m long with four lanes for competition swimmers. Fishing – For lovers of mountain lake and stream fishing, mountain ballades and hikes. Take advantage, with the assistance of Alpine guides or simply on your own, of the beautiful mountain lakes, waterfalls and scenery of Isere.
