World class skiing and the secret of Vaujany’s unknown high standard of breath-taking off-piste

In Vaujany there is no need to feel limited by the runs offered by standard slopes. At some point every skier will feel the need for the adrenaline rush only found in untouched powder, remote wide open terrain, exhilarating couloirs and thrilling descents. When you are an experienced skier, off-piste skiing gives some of the most memorable experiences on snow. Vaujany offers particular awe-inspiring descents rivaling those of La Grave and Les Deux Alpes (both of which are in driving distance) the only difference is that yours will be the only tracks in sight. In Vaujany you can embrace the solitude of the mountains and a feeling of autonomy and achievement. With such a wide variety you will be trekking up peaks, skiing through flumes, gliding across plateaus, traversing over frozen lakes, jumping over streams, kick turning and carving down gullies into the setting sun and feeling empowered by your attainment and the splendor of the mountains. We can recommend some brilliant guides who can take you heli-skiing and make sure your up on the lift before the first lift and on top of the mountain before anyone else.

For on piste skiers who are looking for a challenge

Vaujany offers the longest run on piste that is linked back into the lift system. Starting on the summets at Peak Blanc, 3300m, and ending in the trees at enversin, 1100m. The 'Champagne run', as it is known, takes in 2 blacks and one red and can be skied in about an hour by an expert skier. It covers a 2200m vertical descent with a variety of skiing including moguls, schusses and slaloming between trees! At the bottom you can take a bubble back up to the main lift station at Vaujany so you can step straight back onto the cable car and do it all again!!

Minibus shuttle
A minibus shuttle operates within the village and between La Villette & Vaujany for all our guests to take you to and from the lift station, as well as swimming, ice skating and to get your equipment!

ENTERTAINMENT Sports centre & swimming pool: Modern sports complex has a 25m indoor heated swimming pool, with slides and paddling pool. For extra convenience: A new escalator links two sets of shops both within easy walking distance of our Vaujany accommodation. Ice skating: Vaujany’s free open-air ice rink is a popular attraction, open daily from 4.00-7.00pm throughout most of the season with a small charge for skate hire.

Bars in Vaujany: The Swallow Bar offers pool, table-football, big screen ski videos, and themed nights such as kareoke and music entertainment. Arsen’s Café - Stylish cafe / bar with television (for the rugby) Chez Peter s Rum bar has broadband internet connection with WiFi.
